Overview

QueryPie WAC (Web App Access Control) is a Web Application protection solution for access control and logging for web applications.

As of version 10.2.2, the detailed features provided by WAC are as follows:

  • Access Control: Allows only authorized users to access web applications.

  • Audit Logs: Records the activity history of authorized users accessing and working on the web application.

Additionally, the following features are planned for future updates:

  • Permission Control: Controls major operations within the web application, even for authorized users.

  • Sensitive Information Control: Restricts the display of critical information, even for authorized tasks performed by authorized users.

Web Apps Menu Functions

To access the WAC management menu, click Web Apps in the top menu of the QueryPie Admin page.

A brief description of each sub-menu is as follows:

Connection Management

  • Web Apps: Register and manage web applications subject to control.

Web App Access Control

  • Access Control: Assign or revoke roles for QueryPie groups and users.

  • Roles: Manage Web App roles. Allows for creating, modifying, and deleting roles, viewing users and allowed web apps per role, and assigning/revoking policies.

  • Policies: Manage Web App policies. Allows for creating detailed policies such as allowing/blocking access to web apps, viewing roles to which a policy is assigned, and checking the modification history of policies.
